For those watching I have a question. The hollow issue hasn't been solved yet, right? If so, why didn't we have blood rain and snakes when Elijah, Klaus and Hope were all together in the last episode?

For those watching I have a question. The hollow issue hasn't been solved yet, right? If so, why didn't we have blood rain and snakes when Elijah, Klaus and Hope were all together in the last episode? If I understand correctly, Hope was knocked out, so maybe the Hollow didn't sense her? But I would also think that Hope being knocked out would be a prime opportunity for at least two pieces of the Hollow to try to connect with her. And I believe it was hailing extraordinarily hard, so there was a weather phenomena.
But honestly?
Because this show and the mother show (and Legacies in the future) has always been inconsistent, especially when it comes to pushing forward the story.
How many times has someone been declared, "The most powerful witch the world has ever seen" - until they're not?
How many times is Klaus declared to be the most powerful, but Elijah wins half the time?
How many times are 1,000 year old beings constantly outsmarted by a bunch of teens?
How come Mikael can easily remove the Papa Tunde's dagger from his chest within moments, but Klaus can't?

Right. It rained blood in New Orleans when Klaus and Elijah were in proximity IN FRANCE, so why are we only getting hail when they're much closer to NOLA and Hope is nearby?
Remember when doppelgangers were supposed to be these rare things, until suddenly they weren't? At this point Hope will demolish the Hollow just with the angst from losing her mother, and that won't be seen as weird to anyone on this show.

Another inconsistent question, what happened to the Crescent Wolves now that Hayley had her wolf side bound and died? Are they just regular werewolves now, or was their werewolf side bound due to what happened with Hayley? If the last part doesn't make sense, think of what happened when Dahlia attacked Hayley and it affected everyone else in the pack. Wouldn't the same thing happen here?

No, part of the ritual was that Jackson and Hayley had to remain faithful to each other, which was still true when he was killed. So they *should* still be able to control their wolf side independently of any binding or death of their alpha.
Not 100% sure, but I think Dahlia used a linking spell for that specific purpose. Or maybe not. It's probably all up to whatever the writers want to do, since they threw their own mythology out the window.

I'm just gonna laugh and laugh and laugh tonight. It's either that, or vomit. And I'm 99% certain I'm going to throw up a little bit in my mouth anyway.
I simply do not like Hayley. Never have. Never will. I can acknowledge she's been a good mother. I can admit there's one scene/moment I really enjoyed. I have empathy for her death - particularly that she essentially died alone, circling back to how alone she was when we first met her in TVD.
I actually think it's pretty crappy of them to kill her off at this point.
But I don't like her.
And tonight is going to be chock-full of accolades for her. How wonderful and special she was. How much she meant to the Mikaelsons, and the wolves, and the supernatural community, and the city. To TELL us how great she is. And I'm so very TIRED of being TOLD how special she is. I'm so over the writers pushing the audience to love her. Even now.
And I'm sorry, but I've seen the promo photos and what in the world is Hope wearing to her mother's funeral?! Yeesh. This costume department, I tell ya.

Hayley was tolerable to me when she wasn't with Elijah, although I will forever hate the magical baby plotline. Tonight was pretty well done. Yes, there was a lot of how awesome she was, but I wasn't overwhelmed by it.
Pretty intrigued by the promo for next week - we get the whole fam-damily back and what looks like a clip show before Elijah gets his memories back.

My only comments for the moment:
All these articles "Hayley got the werewolf funeral she deserved." - was there any doubt that she wouldn't?!
Klaus: I wish you were here to tell me what to do.
Because he's listened to her in the past? {Eye roll}

Another inconsistency:
In order to send a message (letter) via magic, you need a personal object from the person you're sending to. This was established in TVD (when Bonnie sent a message to Elena while she was kidnapped by Rose & Trevor) and in TO (when Rebekah & Marcel had Genevieve send a message to Mikael). I can't remember the object Bonnie used, but Rebekah gave Genevieve her father's dagger).
So what did Caroline have of Klaus'?
I realize we'll never get an answer, it's just another established rule that blurs the lines for convenience.
We should create a thread: Inconsistencies. Lol

Well, she does have that drawing he made for her, I suppose that counts.

Outside of Rebekah, all of our female leads have died and disappeared on the show. I really hope Ivy and Antoinette live. Regardless of how Elijah is acting, I like his relationship with her and I hope they stay together. It does annoy me that he was allowed to have a proper relationship, while Hayley wasn't with Declan much. He was close enough to Hope that she painted for him, but Hayley wasn't ready to commit since she still pined for Elijah for seven years. That kind of sucks.
Also, we're told that Cami's story was done and they had nothing left for her, which is why she died, but why introduce her cousin to continue that human story? If he was brought in to develop her history, then doesn't that mean that there was a purpose for Cami but they chose not to do anything for it? And why did her cousin mention her when Kieran and her brother died as well? Shouldn't he be visiting all of their graves?
I don't like that we're wasting time with the vampire nazis, when the Hollow is the most important thing.
I also hate the Caroline stuff since it feels like fanservice to TVD viewers. As a TO only watcher, I don't know her and don't care about it. I just view her as an outside female who came to visit on a show where females tend to die easily....okay, I actually do know about her, but from what I've read her relationship with Klaus seems toxic so I don't get the appeal.
This season...here's hoping the end makes this all worth it, because each episode makes me wish they stopped at season four.

Well, she does have that drawing he made for her, I suppose that counts. She burned it in TVD. She returned the bracelet. I'm certain she returned the dresses he let her borrow. I guess I'm gonna go with "she used one of his paintings he donated for a Mystic Falls fundraiser"... LOL

I like Antoinette and Elijah as well, but I'm not expecting it to last once he gets his memories back. Or maybe she'll die from the bite. Because man pain.
I don't get why they're bringing in a new character this late in the game either. Either he serves as a reminder for Vincent about the price of involving mortals in supernatural business, or he's here so he can eventually be moved to Legacies.
We're spending so much time on the militant vampires that whatever they do to wrap up the Hollow plot will feel rushed and 'what the hell?' pointless. I kind of think they won't really end it, and TO will end with the family splitting up again indefinitely.
I didn't remember she burned the drawing. So, just reasons?

It does annoy me that he was allowed to have a proper relationship, while Hayley wasn't with Declan much. He was close enough to Hope that she painted for him, but Hayley wasn't ready to commit since she still pined for Elijah for seven years. That kind of sucks. It started with Sophie. Then Rebekah left; I don't consider her a lead. They brought in Freya to make up for Rebekah's absence. Then they killed off Cami, a regular. They killed off/removed every single female guest star (Francesca. Genevieve. Gia. Aurora.) who had real potential. And finally, Hayley.
I am telling you: the moral of this story has always been: loving (or getting close to or working with - or against) this family is a death sentence; while they have always survived.
As for showing a proper relationship between Hayley and Declan, I simply think there wasn't time in Phoebe's schedule.
PREACH.
They did Cami so so so wrong.
I don't understand why they had to make Declan Cami's cousin. And how old is Declan supposed to be? In his 20s? That means he was a kid when Cami died. I'll be curious if they expand on that in a meaningful way (as in Declan actually knew and remembers Sean, Cami and Kieran) or if it's just a connection. I have no doubt he'll end up with the possession of the secret closet.
Just kill those a-holes. But they never do. There's a threat; they know there's a threat; and instead of facing it and taking care of business, they want to find out more or try to find a diplomatic solution. They hold back because they want to be better for Hope, but...they're holding back to the point of stupidity.
Even though I'm getting loads of new Klaroline content, I also would have been happy/relieved if they had stopped at S4.
