I finally got around to watching the episode and laughed quite a bit when the blood rain happened. It's cool and everything, but I just laughed because out of all of the characters poor Vincent is the one who had to suffer through that.
The poor guy is always highly stressed because the supernatural creatures are just too much, then when he hears of Marcel and the Mikaelsons...well, it felt like it was about to get an aneurysm. Freya might go to Keelin, but Vincent is the one who needs a break. A proper one outside of New Orleans. It did look like he tried to take some self care time at the end when he was writing in his journal, but then the blood rain happened and you know he was just thinking, "Those damn Mikaelsons!"
As for the episode, I thought it was okay. Hope clearly had a hand in making her mom go missing. Her acting was similar to how she was acting when her teacher (?) came to her room. I think Hayley would be able to zone in on this, but everyone else, not so much. After Kol gave her the idea and Hayley said that she'd always forgive Hope, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that she figured out the best way to bring her dad back.
It was short sighted though. If Hayley dies via this, then Hope will be scarred. She really is her father's daughter in that they share the same shortsightedness.

Right? He gets to deal with other people's stupidity all day every day. If Hayley does die, I wonder if he'd actually be game to try to bring her back. He didn't seem to have issues with her, and she was working with him to keep the peace.
I think it will play out that way with Hope, but man I hope not.

I only thought it was funny since he normally doesn't wear hats.
