Spoilers 5x01
No one at the Salvatore School knows that Hope is a Mikaelson - she's enrolled as "Hope Marshall." Yeah, let that sink in.
The only person who knows who she really is, is Henry, and that's because he's a Crescent.
1. What's a Crescent doing at the school? Did his parents send him? Why? Is he an orphan - why didn't the pack take him in? Or is this their way of taking care of him? On TVD and TO, it's been rammed into our heads that Wolves = Pack above all. So why send him away?
2. Maybe it was mentioned and I missed it. But he's wolf. He's a Crescent. WHY did he want to become a hybrid? Wolves are raised to hate vampires. Wolves are raised to believe that vampires are soulless, blood-sucking, disgusting creatures.
3. It doesn't even make sense! You're a Crescent - you have the ability to control your wolf side, thanks to the Unification Ceremony between Hayley and Jackson. Jackson died without betraying Hayley - the Unification stands. Hayley's ability to control her wolf side passes to the Crescents - even the unborn. The only reason the wolves were even remotely interested in becoming hybrids was because they could then control their wolf side.
4. Yeah, they're rehashing the hybrid - and whoops, now you're sired to me storyline.
5. I don't like how they set this up. I think (?) I would have preferred Hope being tricked into giving her blood instead of what she did.
6. I have no definative thoughts on teenage Hope.

I don't get it about Henry either, but I'm not that worried because I doubt he's gonna live long. Anyway, he says that he wanted to become a hybrid so he could stand up for himself, he was being bullied. He didn't realize being a hybrid makes him an even bigger target. Because kids are dumb.
I'll come right out and say it: I don't like teenage Hope. I get that kids make stupid decisions/mistakes all the time, but she seems determined to flaunt the rules. Did you see the look she got when Kol said a disaster always brings them back? Girl was gonna plan something to get her family together. And why not? Everyone else in her family seems to ignore the dire reason they CAN'T be nearby.
Ugh.

I have no definative thoughts on teenage Hope. yeah but if you have opportunity to study in such an environment then why not. If Hope being a Crescent is going I am sure others in the pack would want to send their kids too if that particular kid/family wants to get that kind of education. He was raised by a woman who obviously is not his mother but she raised him from the start which means he was an orphan. And Oh she is very protective of him too. Sending him to school does not mean he is abandoning his pack so Wolves = Pack above all still there or was until he turned. Maybe that is why Hope turned him coz he was her pack member and he requested her to do so and she did?! I think there must be other Crescent wolves too in the school. We just haven't gotten to seeing them OR was it established that Henry is the only Crescent there? It was mentioned by Henry himself when Hope asked him why he wanted it. How it all went down was just plain stupid and very teenager impulse stuff like. She should have asked him BEFORE turning him but then again teenagers. Anyways he told her that he was tired of being treated the way he was being, a freak, and he had other issues confidence etc. He naively thought that by turning hybrid he will get rid of them, being powerful and all. Hope chided him that they wouldnt and that he is a teenager now stuck with being like this forever. It was a stupid step on her behalf (if she could see the potential problem now then why didnt she foresee it before turning him) and stupid writing on writers behalf but it could be that the writers were trying to convey how powers like this come with great responsibilities and actions have consequences. I think Hope started this all by turning Henry. Whoever kidnapped Hayley is somehow linked to what happened to Henry. And look what happened with that bartender. Actions have consequences. Hope must have learned this small lesson. OR it was a contrived plot to get the ball rolling.

This is the result of her absentee father's actions. What she is doing is normal, I mean trying to get to her father or bringing him back to her. Kids often do drastic measures to bring their absentee parents in the picture. Acting out to get his attention. Hayley went missing after Kol's call. Is it possible that she kidnapped her mom? By the end of the episode she did learn her lesson and will continue to do so coz I think she has set the ball rolling that will get her mom killed.

Fair enough. I know I'm not seeing any of this through kid-glasses; my perspective is much different from a 15-year-old girl.
Oooh, I hadn't even considered that Hope could be behind Hayley disappearing, bringing her dad back to town. I wonder if that brings them all back. We know something does, anyway.

Oooh, I hadn't even considered that Hope could be behind Hayley disappearing, bringing her dad back to town. I wonder if that brings them all back. We know something does, anyway. It could be a combination of stuff. Definitely Klaus is coming back for Hayley. Rebekah was already on her way because of Hope. Marcel was also on his way because he is done with Rebekah so why not come to his favorite city back?! As for Kol, I dont think he will be back just for Hayley but for Hope sure he will be back. I wonder what will bring Elijah back to NOLA since he is in amnesia land and he does not get his memory back till after Hayley dies so what could it be that brings him back? I wouldnt be surprised if Klaus kidnapped him and brought him with him to NOLA.... Do the daggers still exist? EDIT If it were Hope who kidnapped her mommy dear then the fact that she left her phone to be found the way it was found give me feeling that she is too cunning. She planned for all the details. And her acting to Klaus and Freya was great. I dont know how I feel about such cunningness in a child!

I have no idea if the daggers are still in play. I've forgotten a lot of what happened in past seasons.
Hope does seem to be the cunning sort, but I think she's gonna do something that ends up getting someone killed - like Hayley. I get that kids are dumb sometimes, but it seems like Hope is dismissive of exactly why her family has to stay away.

I have no idea who has the daggers now. Freya? Hayley?
And I have another question about Henry. Was it stated whether or not if he was triggered? I'm assumed he triggered his gene, Hope gave him her blood, he killed himself and now he's a hybrid. That's how it works, RIGHT?!?! Because if he wasn't triggered, then he would've just been a vampire. Right?!?!?! Or is Hope super-duper extra special and her blood can turn untriggered wolves into hybrids?

It was not stated. But Klaus was untriggered as well. He was simply a vampire until his werewolf side was triggered. He'd had doppelganger blood beforehand, though, so it just made him a hybrid rather than dying like the army he tried to build.
I'd assume Henry will follow the same route, since he's already had Hope's blood to finish off the transition to hybrid.
