Even if Elijah didnt recognize Hayley, I can see her being terrorized by this incident considering he is her lover. I would guess that most people abused by their lovers regardless of what brought that about are not rational when they are dealing with consequences. She saw the real side of Elijah which she has so conveniently not seen till not. Hayley was always attracted to Elijah because "he was kind to me" and now she knows things are not as they seemed till now.
It does feel from some dialogues I heard that she does not want Hope to be okay with to have relationship with this (Elijah) sort of a person but isnt klaus the same sort of person too? She does not want Elijah influence on Hope but does she not want Klaus's influence on her too? But then again, Klaus has tried to change in this past season whereas Elijah has not even though she asked him to so maybe her rules are different for both of the men in her life.
I totally disagree about Clair and her storyline. She is the one who brought this on herself getting a sideline love story. She does not commit and this is no secret. You cannot not listen to writers and EP all the time. They have been singing the same tune about her since s1 even Clair once said IIRC that she wanted to spend time with her family so she didnt commit for full time. I agree that writers do love Hayley more than fans do.
AJ I think you are right... Klaus will not be with Hope in the near future and same goes for rest of the family. Only Hayley will be with her. Which sucks coz Klaus already lost five years of her life and now he is going to lose what, 10 years time jump?

Well, my predictions weren't far off. The siblings are free to move around the globe, as long as they don't meet up with each other (oh hai Klaus, look at you risking it to see your brother play piano). Was right about side effects, but didn't guess that outside of NOLA that wasn't a problem. Freya stays in NOLA to find a way to destroy the Hollow and reunite her family.
Was wrong on:
Caroline (thankfully).
Vincent and Marcel co-running NOLA. Also didn't call Marcel chasing down Bex.
Was surprised by:
Keelin living
Marcel can compel Originals (and yes, I know, I shouldn't have been surprised)

Place your bets... Keelin (sp?) dies. Possibly Vincent and/or Freya too. I'm 95% positive Davina will die and possibly Kol. I'm not lucky enough to have Hayley die (and stay dead). I hope there's a Klaroline moment - a real moment that features Klaus and Caroline in each other's presence, but I have a feeling that JP has been trolling the Klaroliners all season. I won't be surprised if it's Hayley that drops off Hope in MF. Or it won't feature Caroline at all, but Alaric. If Haylijah is done, then I hope Elijah gtf over her and finds his own Cami. Someone who loves him despite the monster within him. I'm guessing that the Hollow will be split into pieces and each piece reside in a Mikaelson, which is why they'll be forced to part ways (the end of "Always and Forever.") I was wrong on Keelin, Vincent, Freya, Kol and/or Davina dying. I was correct that Hayley wouldn't die, but at this point, it's kind of a given. No surprise there wasn't a Klaroline moment and I just knew that it would be Hayley dropping Hope off at the school instead and speaking with Alaric. Well, I guess I was kinda right about Elijah getting over Hayley... And I was correct that the Hollow would be split into 4 pieces, but again, I think anyone who has even the faintest idea of what's been going on knew this would be the way to go.

I took Marcel as something any Original could do to each other given a magical boost, Marcel still needed Elijah's defences taken down. Caroline is always going to be the issue for the network that they'd have to convince Candice Accola on a payoff they aren't even sure and we know wouldn't do anything for the ratings. I think Season Five is going to likely end on a much higher note simply because Season Four had so much material they needed to get through combined with no clear end date- I do think we're getting that final season next time but the circumstances and payoff will be better.
This season finale reminded me of Roswell's which while happy was incredibly bittersweet where they had to give up their homes and families in order to keep them and themselves safe- that was a last minute story wrap-up.

At least the Roswell kids stayed together, but yes everybody seemed happy in the end. Elijah even seemed to enjoy a big tip from his brother and Hope was happy among other kids at the Hogwarts.

So nobody died, I did not see that coming. Now this is the fluffy show and TVD is the one killing former recurring and regulars, again? I think season 5 will be more a season 4 b, resolving that pesky separation thing.
