The Originals- 4.10 Phantomesque
After the devastating events of the previous episode, Klaus requests that his estranged siblings Rebekah and Kol return home to stand by their family against The Hollow. Meanwhile, Freya recruits Hayley for a dangerous journey that will put both their lives at risk — but may be the sole means of saving someone they love. Elsewhere, tensions rise when Marcel leads a hunt for The Hollow — putting him on a collision course with the person he was least prepared to face. Finally, as Kol continues to mourn the loss of Davina, he is forced to consider the lengths he'd go to see her again.

x 1000 "Nobody's closer to Elijah than I am." Most of their relationship was him in a box. But somehow sex makes her closer to him than the 1000+ years he's spent with his siblings. Honestly, it should have been Klaus or Bex going in to find him. Also, I'm calling it now: Kol's gonna end up dead by the end of the season. Crazy Witch has practically guaranteed it by making him her lapdog.

Thought in a way he didn't snappped out of it until Hope screamed and there was that flash of light (Hope magic ?) only then he looked to be back to normal... Maybe it's even part of why Haley seemed so sad at the end of the episode....

But anyhow, I feel a major death coming up, too. My ranking: Kol and Davina (again), Rebekah for the lack of excuses of not being there (unless we're getting a love triangle}, or even Hayley, there is something sad around her lately. Another great episode BTW, but then I'd watch Becks reading the NOLA telephone book.

Crazy Witch has practically guaranteed it by making him her lapdog. Hayley and Elijah are delusional about their relationship. Her eyes opened a bit this episode. I want to see how it develops but I dont think anything will change. I think this was another angst which they will overcome. Hayley honestly thinks that she is closer to Elijah since she has not seen any sort of closeness between him and his siblings. I mean Elijah has not shown any over affection for any of the siblings since TO started or vice versa. Klaus and Elijah have been at odds since this particular show started so yeah she has missed their 1000 bond and how much they mean to each other. I also think that this was writers attempt to promote Haylijah. They had to address this issue, the issue all of KH fans have been raising since season 1: They are both in love with the perfect image of each other that they have created in their mind. At least that is how it all started. The only way to do so was for Hayley to see with her own eyes who Elijah really is. During the course of TO Hayley has only seen Elijah coming close to doing evil once (when he was going to murder those kids). He has presented his best side to her since they met so she even though knew that he was a monstrous vampire she didnt really know until she saw him. Not to mention when has these two shows not put love interest over other relationships. What bugged me most was when Klaus said Elijah is the best among as all. No way he is the best. He is worst IMO. He is hypocrite and hides his crimes behind a red door . His hands are as dirty as everyone else. But then again if Klaus keeps on putting himself down then who can help him? Does the show want us to believe that Elijah never did anything/ any murder if it were not for his family (Klaus defense)? I get the feeling that Klaus was trying to make her feel better by fibbing about that part (he is the best among us all and that he does it for the family) like he told her in 209 about some lies need to be told to not hurt others. (Cannot recall the actual wordings. It happened when she wanted to tell jckson about her and Elijah having sex while she was "engaged" to Jackson).

We have to bear in mind that they know each other for like 8 years. Of which 5 years were they could only converse. That is longer than many marriages. That said, I think Klaus did some kind of Eulogy, which normally is about nice things. This was not the moment to keep it real. Maybe Klaus needed to remind himself why Elijah was the one with the least time in storage.

These brothers are totally codependent on each other and they both know this.
