The Originals- 4.02 "No Quarter"
NOW THAT WE ARE AWAKE — After being cured and woken, the Mikaelson siblings join Hayley in an effort to rescue Klaus from captivity – even if they must face Marcel in the process. Meanwhile, Klaus' demons materialize in unexpected ways as he suffers from the effects of the Tunde Blade, and Vincent investigates a haunting that will prove to be much more sinister than he could have imagined.
I'm really excited for Klaus to get rescued and for this situation to come to its natural conclusion. Also, eager to see the ultimate reunion between a now seven year old Hope and Klaus.

I'm really excited for Klaus to get rescued and for this situation to come to its natural conclusion. Also, eager to see the ultimate reunion between a now seven year old Hope and Klaus. ME too!! I am so excited to see Klaus/Hope relationship development. Jomo sounded too excited for us to see that which just makes me too excited. I want to see how KLaus/Marcel relationship will affect Klaus/Hope and vice versa. Initially I was a bit afraid (from one of MN interviews) about Klaus and Hope future but now I am kind of hopeful. I hope the show does not let me down.

I'm more intrigued by the ourosboros and how it relates to whatever Vincent is going to find. Still holding to my theory that the ancestors are up to shenanigans.

Oh my god, fuck Marcel. Can't even win graciously. He's king of NOLA now, but he just had to have the last word and make himself look like he came out on top.
I'm not so sure Hayley and Freya will be fighting about that wolf now. Hayley seemed just fine with keeping her prisoner. Moral compass, indeed. Still most interested in the Vincent/ghost magic story.

Loved Marcel today. Mikaelson can go to hell. They deserve to stick together and just be together. Just those seven of them. Marcel shouldnt help them when they come running ot him next time.
Great episode.
Terrible family. And it got proved that adoptive kids are not family!! Thank you Kol. Prick!! Shame on Klaus who just stood there and said nothing. Rebekah is so fickle... she forgot that she conspired with Marcel to actually get Klaus killed.. twice. Elijah as always smug bastard. Even knowing that Elijah messed up everything, even accepting they were at fault they all acted as if Marcel was at fault, saying "we dont care... we will do whatever we want to do for our selfish reasons, our family ... blood relatives + Hayley"
Klaus/Cami scene just proved that she is the voice of Klaus's conscious basically. Great therapy session btw. They should have given just sessions to us in season 3.
So I think AJ is right.. ancestors are involved somehow. Eva is dead which means ancestors.
Edit: So I have calmed down a bit. And as I have already said that it was a great episode, a lot of issues were explored/ touched upon. I get everyone is touchy at this moment and from everyone's pov they are right but as neutral pov I still stand that Mikealson family were at wrong at this instant.
Now with calm mind I have to admit that Elijah, Klaus, Hayley and Rebekah were feeling guilty of what happened. I didnt get that vibe from Freya and Kol. But guilt does not mean that they were not saying "fuck you. We dont care!" Words spoken in anger/ hurt often reflect the true feelings. We as viewers know that Marcel would never have hurt Rebekah, Hope, Hayley, Klaus but they dont know that so I get their anger/ fear from Marcel. Marcel letting them go in the end was great step on his side. He was being an ass boasting that I am doing you all a favor but after all what Mikaelson have put him through (Kol and Elijah always putting him down. Klaus not being a good father) and others with their arrogance he gets to deserve that at least. I still stand that he really does not what to kill them.... well maybe Elijah, Kol and Freya.
Oh and now that I have calmed down lol, IIRC Klaus did look down when Kol was going on about Marcel not being Mikaelson so I guess he was feeling sad(?), maybe...
Rebekah and Marcel seem like done but I think there is still unfulfilled wishes there...
The detective is Will, right?

Yep we will get to explore ELijah and Hayley's moral compass this season. Cannot wait to see how it goes. I am interested in Vincent storyline too.

Hayley knows. Kol mentioned werewolf hostage in front of her, and she didn't have much of a reaction.

On the flip side, the next time Marcel has vamp underlings suffering a wolf bite, he better not come to Klaus. Kol saying Marcel isn't a Mikaelson doesn't mean everyone thinks that. Klaus himself in this episode refers to Marcel as his adopted son. Also, Klaus was beginning to recover from the blade and being kept prisoner, so it's no surprise he was rather quiet. I doubt he's glad things came to this, but I also don't see him continuing to let Marcel run roughshod all over the family. At least they got the hell out of NOLA. Too bad something seems to have followed Hope. I think the family is just done with him. I don't blame them. He came damn close to killing several of them. If Vincent thinks he's at fault for what's going down in Witchville, then it probably does have some tie to Eva and/or the ancestors. Final notes: Yes, probably was Will. And pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease, no Marcel/Bex hookups. They're terrible for each other.

Something will be after her after she comes back to NOLA when the ancestors can tap into her. And yes I think Vincent was talking about Eva. ... Eva is dead so ancestors once again.... What if Esther is involved somehow? MN did mention Esther's genes in one of the interviews when he was talking about Hope. Hope is wearing the bracelet so she cannot do magic right? So how will the ancestors tap into her?

The blue floaties Hope sees are the same the other kid saw before he was taken, so at the very least, something is after powerful witch kids. Hope may not keep wearing the bracelet, now that Aunt Freya (and Uncle Kol, to a lesser extent) are there to teach her magic.

I liked the episode. The entire (screw Finn) family was united and we saw even the start of that announced bond between Kol and Becks. The show is still slightly better with the younger sister in it. Imagined Cami talked much more shrink like than the real deal, Klaus must have read some books lol. Hated Marcel on his high horse, he must have forgotten that he wanted to kill Klaus first and what he once did to the witches. Same for Josh, since when does he hate the Mikaelsons, barring Freya? I also liked that Marcel let Klaus go and that he wasn't saved by some deus ex machina. Didn't the Tunde blade completely paralyze 1000 year old Klaus but now that he's 1008 he can move?

It did. Mikael got knifed and was able to pull it out, proving that if your will is resolute, you can do so. Which is why we got an episode of Klaus finding the will.
I don't know that Josh actually hates the Mikaelsons, he just seems to be more about living peacefully which just doesn't happen when they're involved.

I'm starting to feel nervous, because this was another great episode. I liked the Mikaelson crew working together and I really enjoyed Kol here. Even though I like Davina, I didn't really like them together because they got mushy and stuff. Kol like this is entertaining.
Even though Kol said that Marcel isn't a Mikaelson, I think Marcel has shown a lot of traits from that family. He really is a mini Klaus, only he doesn't see himself as bad. Klaus killed a lot of people, but we also know that Marcel did. Klaus used people, and we know that Marcel did. Both also love talking about how great they are and how they are showing mercy towards others.
It's going to be fun watching Marcel asking the Mikaelsons for help. It's also going to be fun watching him accept that he's part of their family even if he hates them sometimes.
