If you were Julie Plec, what would you have done with Season 5?

Seeing that I have not watched the season but read lb here goes...
Make Elijah live with his guilt but somewhat find peace with the new girl (I dont recall his name). He did fell in love with her and was going to marry her. It shouldn't have changed just coz he got his memories back. The past 10 year experience and feelings shouldn't have been over written by what he felt 10 years ago.
Klaus should have remained in touch with his daughter more just like Kol did. He basically spend 10 years pinning for Elijah AND Rebekah and killing right and left.
Definitely no Haylijah hint; that afterlife dance reference was too much. Hayley broke up with him for a reason. She should have stuck to it. It was a good and legitimate reason.
I would have shown more of the "telephone/ parent's teacher meeting" between Klaus and Caroline that happened over the past 10 years on the screen. Any sort of development to make that rush they did on screen legitimate. There were spoilers that she kept his phone call message. I dont know it made it to the screen or not but if not good. Why the hell she kept it if she fell in love with Stefan?!!
I am okay with Hayley and Klaus's death. They both died for their daughter.

Here's my idea:
What if Hope was the big bad? What if the entire season was about how to stop Hope without killing her?
The show starts the same way. Hope is angry that her dad is a deadbeat and after talking with Kol, she thinks of the plan to get Hayley kidnapped so Klaus will show up. She also gets her friend killed after she turned him into a hybrid. This is to make it seem like her family is targeted for their hybridness. First Hayley goes missing, then her friend dies, now people are after Hope and Klaus too.
Only, it's all Hope. She's following the whole 'Go Big or Go Home' approach with this plan. Unfortunately for her, she's a teen and a bit of an idiot, so one Klaus and the others show up the Hollow starts to show itself.
Hope has used her magic on some vampires to make them powerful, so whenever Klaus and co go searching the vampires are there to stop them. The vampires are strong, but they never try to kill anyone. Just deter them. This is also a means to make Hayley's kidnapping look more legit. Let's say that the vampires can teleport too and vanish, which makes the the others think that a powerful witch is helping them.
After some digging, Klaus figures out what happened to Hayley and confronts Hope. They get into a fight where Klaus tells her that she should be better than this, but she yells back that he wouldn't know since he abandoned her. Even though he did it to "save" her she isn't buying it. During this, the Hollow sees a chance to take over due to Hope's anger and she does just that. Hope starts to feel funny, only for things to go chaotic.
Klaus frees Hayley, but Hope/Hollow is now killing and destroying things indiscriminately. Hope is about to kill some innocent humans, but Hayley gets there first and ends up dying as a result. The Hollow is pleased by this, since Hayley's blood can destroy the Hollow, so she lets Hope regain control for this moment. Hope gets even more crazed by this and releases a lot of power as a result.
Josh somehow dies here as well. Maybe Declan too.
This is when Freya and Vincent discover that the Hollow can be destroyed, but only if it dies with its host. Unfortunately, they have to get close to Hope in order to do this spell and transfer the Hollow into someone else, before killing them. Klaus decides to do it.
Meanwhile, the other residents in NO wants to go against Hope and kill her since they know that if she dies the Hollow dies with her. Marcel, who has come back, tries to stop everyone, but the town is against Hope. Marcel tries to be the beast against them, but it's no use. There are just too many people and the entire city is now united for this mission.
Before Hope can be killed by the angry mob, she fights back and some people die. Klaus then asks everyone for help. He wants Hope to live, but also wants to get rid of the Hollow. He and Elijah go forward to get this done, while Freya, Davina and Vincent are waiting for the right time to do the spell. The two go forward, while Marcel, Rebekah and Kol are trying to stop the angry mob while also trying to save them from Hope.
While on their way, Elijah ends up dying. Let's say he was trying to protect Klaus and died as a result. Klaus was worried about what he would do and Elijah was trying to tell him to go be a dad and that he's a good one. Hope/Hollow attacks Klaus and Elijah gets in the way and dies. Klaus is devastated, but keeps going.
As he's fighting Hope, he eventually gets her close enough and she stabs him with her hand. He yells that he got it and Freya, Davina and Vincent do the transfer spell. Hope is saved, but she has her hand in her dad's chest. She apologizes and he tells her that he forgives her and loves her and all of that emotional stuff. He tells her to live.
The season finale would be the funeral. Hope is going back to MF to get away from everything, Keelin Freya can do whatever, same with Marcel, Bex, Kol and Davina. Vincent decides to leave NO too.
The end is Klaus on the other side alone, but then Hayley shows up and they talk about Hope. The last scene is of Klaus' face smiling as he pictures his daughter strong, happy and healthy.

I like your idea, Tissue.
I would have made the Hollow be split into four but put into objects (like the bones), and put them in four separate and distant locations, with an Original in charge of guarding it. This would possibly create a relevant subplot for each of them (exploration of relationships, mulling over the good and bad of family, maybe a coven wants the Hollow for themselves?) until Freya can figure out that putting the Hollow in a body and then killing that body wipes it out. They decide to use Aurora for that. Boom. Problem solved. No parental sacrifice needed.
