How is everyone? I cannot believe this board has died so badly. I hate IMDB people for killing their review boards. ughhhhhhh...
I guess you all are waiting anxiously for the final season. Some of you have been with these characters for what, 8 years (Tvd length). A couple of days ago JOMO tweeted something about him shooting Klaus for 13 more episodes. Made me sort of nostalgic. This show had so much potential. I was thinking about it yesterday and I dont know what Julie was trying to do with Klaus and what has she established or for that matter about other characters too. Will this show be on anyone's to- be-seen again list? For some reason I keep on thinking why the hell she got Ansel killed lol? Him being integrated in Klaus's life would have been such a great chapter. I dont buy that explanation that he killed Ansel to protect Hope. There were so many other characters who should have been killed if that was the reason but they werent so nope, nope nope.... What happened to Tvd Klaus who wanted to get in touch with his wolf side (the reason why he wanted to break the curse)? Or was his quest was JUST to become a powerful creature? Has Klaus redeemed himself enough for Caroline? Has he redeemed?
Anyhow how is everyone doing in real life and what are you guys watching now?

Yeah, it's pretty dead. I haven't heard any TO news to report lately, and my interest has waned. I'll watch, as it's the final season, but what spoilers I have seen hasn't left me happy.
Right now my new favorite show is The Orville. Sc-fi and humor. Love it.

I've been coping with my migraines and there's little news to spread- I'm eager for Season Five... I've been watching Lucifer and Shadowhunters- there really aren't many decent shows left. I've mostly loved the direction of The Originals- the show's good enough that people will re-discover it and it won't be affected by fads, Ansel was the potential that could never be- Mikael was Klaus's father, and I'd have been happier if his appearance had been merely a head game of Esther's than Ansel returned.
Klaus's desire to get in touch with his wolf side was never like Hayley's attachment, it was about a family he belonged to and not being alone- and when the rifts and walls he put in place came down, when he had to face what he did to his family, as a person... he reached a place where he could accept himself and caring for others, without threats and daggers. Hope was the integral part of that. I can accept Caroline in the show- even some endgame romance because the person Klaus is now, his redemption and place in his family was for his child and they did this in the show amazingly. That in itself is incredible because it's a difficult subject matter to write just at a mediocre level- much easier for most to write an 'epic love story' and let that carry.
I love the humour in Lucifer a lot, I also like the characters. Science fiction has had very slim pickings the last few years and Orphan Black finished up this year, The Orville I'd try if it didn't seem so close to a shutdown notice by its nature of being too much like Star Trek and not enough of a parody for fair use.

It seems the CW does not intend to spend any money on promoting TO. That is too bad. I'm following TO on Facebook but nothing much there, too. A lot of people on FB seem to love Klaroline, but I doubt that will will happen. I watch Lucifer, Supergirl, and someone makes me watch Outlander. I had high hopes for Gifted but seeing my favorite Root / Winifred Burkle as whiny soccer mom is hard to digest. There should be some new vampire shows (Vampire Chronicles among them) coming up.
PS The Lucifer IMDb refugee site on freeforums has merged with tapatalk. Is this going to happen here, too?

As it's their last season, I doubt CW plans to spend any money it doesn't have to. I've heard nothing since that one thing with the leak of the season plotline that spilled so much beans.
Re: tapatalk, I have no idea how to do that. Maybe Allison does?

See, if I were a little more media savvy maybe but I'm not up to date- if there's something that can be done on Taptalk that people want- I'll mess around, otherwise we're on the last season and as long as we can use the forums... it's ironic but I miss that one poster who always got up my nose on IMDB- I think his name was Scorpion or something. At least it was entertaining. The thing with that season leak was it was almost certainly someone who no longer has access to the show so it'll never happen again. The CW head makes Hope noises but I think it's more a case of 'we royally screwed up' than an actual spinoff. The Originals got timeslot screwed and the network is at a point now where they were willing to eat their hats and give it a fifth and fully announced final season. I'm thinking of giving Riverdale a chance if for no other reason than its available with new episodes every week on Netflix Australia... but mostly counting down the days till I can watch Once Upon A Time in one hit. I've fallen in love watching clips on You Tube- it started with just me watching it for the Frozen bits too.
I finally watched H2O: Just Add Water and its spinoff. I love Claire and Phoebe but frell, the parent show is terrible. We've got some great teen/kid shows but it comes off really badly- the spinoff ends up with the more interesting storyline and mythology. It doesn't hurt there's strong family vibes in it, especially in the second and third season and a lack of fanfiction-esque teen romance. You wonder why you get adults who think that a character is evil for their romantic ties and you see a character like Charlotte in H2O.
