Hope Mikaelson is about to hit another growth spurt.
Though neither The CW nor Warner Bros. TV are commenting, sources confirm to TVLine that The Originals is bracing for a significant time jump, setting the stage for a much older Hope — think late teens — to be introduced in Season 5. The time jump could arrive as soon as the June 23 season finale (The CW, 8/7c); casting for the “new” role, currently being portrayed by the phenomenal Summer Fontana, is now underway.
We also hear there’s potential for adult Hope to snag her own spinoff, though neither The CW nor Warner Bros. TV would comment on that either. Of course, if Hope does end up at the center of a third series in the Vampire Diaries universe, it would be sort of like a prophecy coming to fruition — albeit one foretold by executive producer Julie Plec.
“I think there are future shows down the line that can be spawned out of this world and could tell good stories,” Plec told TVLine back in March while discussing the letter Klaus sent to Caroline in the series finale of The Vampire Diaries. “It’s a hope for the future if nothing else.”
As for what else the future might hold for Hope, Plec reminded TVLine that “the idea of [Caroline and Alaric’s] school as a safe haven for young supernatural beings certainly has a lot of relevance for Hope,” leading many viewers — including the one currently typing this — to believe that Hope will relocate from New Orleans to Mystic Falls by the end of the season.
I thought kid Hope was a nice addition in NOLA, changing the dynamics for the better. However yay to a crossover episode.

Huh, that's the first I've heard. Rumors are loud that Hope is going to get dumped in MF at the end of this season. Another time jump makes sense though - they just can't do a lot w a kid. Which goes back to what I've always said: they never should gave gone done the road w a baby storyline or redemption storyline. You get one season of her as a child, then time jump. What was the freaking point...
Klaroliners are going to be bitterly disappointed. They were never going to split equal time on the show between Nola & MF. Klaus &co were never going to abandon Nola & return to MF. Caroline was never going to abandon her kids or school to go and stay in Nola.
At best, there would have been 1or2 eps where either there would be trouble in MF & Klaus comes running (although I wouldn't be surprised if JP trolled us & sent Hayley or Marcel instead) or there's trouble in Nola that Hope senses & she runs away to return to Nola w Caroline in pursuit.
So yeah. I see then dumping Hope in MF at the end of this season with a small Klaroline moment and when TO returns, Hope will be all grown up & back in Nola.

I just don't get how there could be another time jump. They are caught up IMO, or this will become a SF story from the year 2028 lol. And I hated what they did to Poison Ivy on Gotham.

He turned out to be the brat and .... there was a season dedicated to him and how he reformed?

I think there is pretty good chance of Klaroline happening. Of course there will be angst and what not. I am not sure how the logistic will be handled since Carolien will not leave her kids behind, Alaric hates Klaus's guts and does not want him near his kids, Klaus himself will not leave Hope behind (hopefully), Hayley will not abandon her child now that she and Elijah are breaking up. Saying all these troubles I have no doubt if JP wants to do something she will do it just like she did Haylijah and Jayley despite the obvious issues. Maybe they will move Caroline out of MF after 15 years. It will be very conspicuous for someone who has not aged at all but then what will happen to the school? I dont think they will drop the school story line. Do you remember JOMO rumor about casting in that x-men show? Isnt it interesting that the possible spinoff of TVD is going to be revolving around it. Also I seem to recall Candice giving a vague answer to the spinoff (another version of tvd) in her final interview of tvd 816. If Klaus and Caroline see each other for the first time after the time jump say 10 years that means they have not seen each other for what, 18 years?

Poison Ivy was aged by some mutant, Renesme grew just faster bc half vampire. And I heard something similar happened on Charmed. Too bad, I liked that little actress.

They actually didn't fast-age Wyatt or Chris on Charmed, they just had future versions of them show up a couple times (Chris for an entire season).
I'll wait and see what they'll do with another time jump, but if they do send Hope away to MF, I imagine we'll hear little or nothing about it. They seem to be focusing on NOLA, so I think any mentions of her being away will be few and far-between.

From the EW Spoiler Room re: Hope Anything for next season of The Originals? — Nelson By now you’ve heard that The Originals is looking to do yet another time jump that would age up Hope next season. Well, I hear that aging comes with some new perks in the form of a love interest. The show is currently casting for a devilishly charming, recently-turned vampire named Roman, who finds a common bond with Hope over their dysfunctional families. ew.com/tv/2017/06/16/spoiler-room-riverdale-originals-htgawm/Wow. Just - wow. I haven't been watching. But after ALL THE <BEEP> THEY WENT THROUGH to bring a baby/child into play, viewers only get one season before she's aged up so they can explore a love storyline with her. I get they expected S4 to be the final. But I'm still smh. This show was never about the Original family (siblings). It's been Hayley's show up to now; next season will focus on Hope and - what? Finding out the family is cursed when it comes to love? Hating her family when they tell her Roman's no good, she doesn't listen, then - surprise - turns out they were right? Fluffy scenes featuring the new boyfriend meeting Klaus for the first time? The obligatory scene where Hayley tells Klaus to chill? Another bratty but powerful teenager/young adult who thinks she knows best - every.single.time? So there's no further father/daughter or even mother/daughter development. Viewers will simply be told, once again, what their relationship is. There's no father/mother struggling to raise a powerful child with enemies surrounding them since they'll be dumping Hope in MF. Wasn't that supposed to be part of the appeal / the point of redemption for this show? Sorry. I know I don't watch anymore, but this news just has me triggered. It's so frustrating. They KNOW - they KNEW - they couldn't or wouldn't be able to use a baby/child effectively and/or sustain it continuously. There were just so many other directions to go, but they chose this.

No. Just no. Plec can NOT handle romances. Hell, Narducci couldn't really handle romances.

Oh, well, if TVLine said so - In all honesty, from what I hear and little I see, I do think this season has been great. I 100% believe it's because they were put on a tight schedule and had to reduce the filler and fluff. But JP is out of chances with me. If there's a Klaroline moment, I'll watch on YT. But I'm not getting my hopes up. Even if Caroline is a regular in S5, even if there are multiple Klaroline moments - JP & Co. will find a way to ruin it.

Hmmm interesting. Hope having a love story was always going to happen if they show lasted this long. Did no one saw that coming? IIRC Twice they have thrown hints how Klaus would act when Hope will start dating ... This season they showed how Klaus and Hayley bonded with their child while trying to keep her safe and trying to sort out their own priorities regarding their child. Now that bonding, love and priority established what else is there to do, see her day to day interaction wit her her parents OR to move to another interesting aspect of her life that will stir some drama. What would create better drama then to see Klaus acting stupid and over protective when Hope starts to date OR see Hope come to her powers and act childish like Davina did?
I do think that Julie will mess up this new love interest but as for taking this step, it does not surprise me.
Sort of creepy and interesting to see Klaus/Caroline and Hope/Roman(?) having their love stories in parallel.
It would also be interesting if they do parallels in that love story. What if Roman is like Klaus? How will Klaus like it to see his daughter dating/involved with a man like himself?
