Marcel's blood is fatal to all vampires, including Klaus. That's why Davina pulled it and was gonna use it.
I think the 'conflicting stories' Ceraleigh mentions isn't really a conflict. A powerful sacrifice can either re-seal the Hollow or make her reborn. It just depends on who's doing the spell. But also agree with Madam - what Davina planned to do to Klaus was murder. Elijah volunteered himself as a sacrifice.
And Davina can get right the hell out with her speech on sacrificing one to save the many. If a very powerful sacrifice was needed, then she should have gone for Marcel. He's stronger than the Originals, and supposedly has the best interests of the city in mind. But notice no one mentioned him. To me, this says that she's still fixated on taking Klaus. Her excuses to Marcel and Hayley pretty much proved that. She never considered anyone else, it was always Klaus she aimed to 'sacrifice'.

That was one of my favorite episodes! Elijah and Marcel bickering, M's sustainable BMW i8, even a less whiny Alaric, finally the werewolf origins, the importance of Hayley and Hope's bloodline, and Hope kicking Davina's ass. Only Davina's return was disappointing, that girl can hold a grudge.
I hope Hope will be the one to end the hollow and I've no clue who will be the sacrifice, I think it's either Eljah or Marcel. They probably will copy the TVD ending with a last minute switch. Are we loosing Hope? It seems they're sending her to Caroline's Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. Bold part... so true. She thinks that world will become better place without Klaus. If only she opens her eyes to the other monster lurking around. Since Elijah has died once, dont think it will be him. I dont want it to be marcel though. Maybe Klaus since is not needed. Hope does need Klaus but apparentlyHope and Hayley both need Elijah so he seems to be disposable one. Far fetched but maybe there is another option since it was mentioned twice in this episode. I am not sure how will Hope going to MF work. I think we might have "lost" her if this turned out to be last season but I dont think now that we are getting another season we will. Hope going to the school means Klaus will visit MF but Alaric does not want him there so what and how will it happen? In one episode he is inviting Hope to the school and in the next moment telling KLaus that he does not want him anywhere in MF. I guess if the showrunners are smart, they write every season as possible last season, so Hope being off to Hogwarts would be a nice conclusion for the very last episode. Now that Plec takes over, Hope will probably get her own love triangle instead.
