Read an interesting theory on wiki..
What if the Hollow is a witch who was cursed into a wolf becoming the first werewolf in the process and the crescents are the first ever pack of werewolves. Hayley will be even more special..
thoughts?

Interesting you should say that. At the tail end of the recent ep, the Hollow takes over Sophia, but not before we see the Crescent mark on her shoulder. So yeah, pretty sure that the Hollow used to be a witch/wolf hybrid. Would explain why wolf packs have the bones needed for resurrection.

It said last season there were 7 Original Packs. I think she could be one of them.
My theory is, there was a time where witches were being supressed and a group of 7 people (5 male, 2 female) kidnapped and tortured 2 witches, one of which died while the other escaped and came back for vengeance by casting a curse on them (turning tbem into monsters/werewolves), and Nature took the witches side (since the witches serve them) and made ot to where the curse would affect their descendants as well. And the Hollow was one of the 7 but unknown to most at the time, she was actually born via one of the humans assaulting one of the witches, making her a witch. She kept her magic when she became a werewolf, but proved to be to powerful, so nature later did things differently and decided the next werewolf/witch would lose their magic (possibly) and you can't be a witch hybrid (not counting Siphoners). If she was one of the Original 7, then all Crescents would be descended from her (which is what is implied in last episode with the Crescent Birthmark) but then that would mean her descendants would be witches including Hayley, which is a continuity error.

I think it was her, it could be wrong. But yeah this all makes sense. Maybe their lost their witch powers somewhere along the way? Maybe Hope witch powers are not just from ehr father's side but from mother's too. I seem to recall this theory being presented before, I think it was last season. Why is Hope so very powerful? I get that Esther family produces first born as a powerful witch but it is being implied that she is the most powerful one.
