So it seems there will be a major death in 412, right? If I got it right, who could it be? the only hope i have that it is not KLaus is that letter written to Caroline. Surely MN is not talking about side characters like Keelin or Vincent (yep he is a major character but that will not have that much of an impact as some Mikaelson). Marcel, maybe? HE journey compelling! What does that even mean? I thought it was supposed to be compelling. Maybe we finally get to see in cannon WHY Hayley chose Elijah. I mean yeah she said "he was kind to me" but now that we will get to see her background and will know rather than guess why she chose him. Victory comes with a price. What price? My mind keeps going back to Elijah and his antics and what Vincent said to him but really, will they kill him OR could it mean that he will lose rest of his humanity?

My money's on Keelin (episode before finale), then Marcel in the finale.
Victory comes with a price. Price = death/loss of loved ones.

Would Kol death be "fairly significant loss" at this point?

Keelin could be fairly significant loss Marcel died last season so I dont think they will repeat it. I hope price means death and not some sort of "lesson" after all this build up.

And she thinks of him as a better father figure.

And she thinks of him as a better father figure. Carina tweeted that from Hayley's past we will find out about her choices of love. I think she wanted security/ safety/ love. She hinted on it in 302. She felt safe with Elijah. Elijah had been kind to her since get go. She had a rough life when she was with her foster parents, again her words so when she got kindness from Elijah she was swooned. Hope was not even born when she started to fall for Elijah.

True. At that time Hayley and Klaus were at odds about Hope, and Elijah was solidly on her side and taking care of her, so in her mind, at that time, he was the better father figure.

Hayley was not thinking about who will be a better father figure for her unborn child in s1. Her and Elijah's infatuation which later turned into love started way before her thoughts went for her daughter and who is best for her daughter IMO. "He was kind to me..." that is all what it started. Nothing about kindness to the child.

Would Kol death be "fairly significant loss" at this point? It better not be. the "fairly" to me implies that it is someone main but not really main. Which rules out Elijah, Hayley, Rebekah, Hope, Marcel at least.
